Scope of Warranty

This warranty applies exclusively to electric scooters purchased through our official website (hitwayescooter.eu). If you purchased your e-scooter from a third-party provider or dealer, please contact that specific seller directly to claim customer service.

Regardless of the place of purchase, all HITWAY e-scooter owners may contact the HITWAY team at any time during the lifespan of their scooter for assistance with troubleshooting and technical support. However, the actual processing of service or warranty claims remains the responsibility of the original seller.

Shipping Area: The shipment of replacement parts under warranty is exclusively available within the European Union (EU).

Important Note: Electric scooters are not sold to persons under the age of 16. Minors may only use the e-scooter under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult and must wear appropriate protective equipment.

Warranty Period

Warranty for the Original Purchaser

HITWAY grants a 2-year warranty on every electric scooter, excluding wear and tear parts. The warranty period begins on the date the original purchaser receives the e-scooter.

Warranty for Subsequent Owners

Subsequent owners are also entitled to the 2-year warranty (excluding wear and tear parts), provided that the original proof of purchase is presented. The warranty period is based on the original delivery date to the first purchaser.

Exclusions (Not Covered by Warranty)

1. Wear and Tear Parts

"Wear and tear" refers to the deterioration or damage resulting from the normal and unavoidable use of the e-scooter. These parts are not covered by the warranty. Typical wear parts include, but are not limited to:

  • Inner tubes and tires
  • Brake pads
  • Brake cables
  • Handlebar grips
  • Lighting
  • Fuses

2. Errors in Assembly, Operation, or Maintenance

  • Damage or defects resulting from improper assembly or installation of the e-scooter.

3. Accidents and Negligence

  • Damage resulting from accidents, collisions, negligence, improper repairs, inadequate maintenance, or abnormal, excessive, or unintended use.

4. Unauthorized Modifications

  • Damage caused by alterations or the installation of non-original, incompatible, or unintended components and accessories.

5. Corrosion

  • Damage caused by corrosion is excluded from the warranty.

6. Battery Damage

Battery damage is not covered if it results from:

  • Voltage spikes
  • Use of unsuitable chargers
  • Improper maintenance
  • Normal aging/depletion
  • Water ingress

Note: HITWAY accepts no liability for damages, defects, or losses resulting from unauthorized repairs or the use of unauthorized spare parts.

Transport Damage

This warranty does not cover damage sustained during transport. However, HITWAY agrees to replace such damaged parts provided the following conditions are met:

  1. You inform HITWAY of the transport damage within seven (7) days of receiving the product.
  2. You provide HITWAY with clear photos and/or videos showing the date and nature of the damage in a timely manner.

If you organize the transport yourself (e.g., via your own carrier or service provider), HITWAY assumes no responsibility for damages incurred during transit.

Warranty Process

HITWAY will not replace any parts under this limited warranty without first reviewing photos or videos of the damaged components. To exercise your right to replacement parts, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Customer Service: Email our service team at contact@hitwayescooter.eu. Our team will first assist you with a diagnosis to see if a simple solution is possible.
  2. Decision on Replacement: If customer service determines a part must be replaced, you will receive the replacement part along with installation instructions.
  3. Installation Support: Our service team will support you during the installation of the new components.
  4. Local Repair Option: In certain cases, HITWAY may agree to have the e-scooter repaired at a local workshop. In such instances, parts of the repair costs may be reimbursed.

Theft: Product theft is not covered by the warranty. We recommend recording your frame number and serial number upon receipt and considering appropriate insurance.

DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES

THIS IS A COMPLETE AND DETAILED STATEMENT OF THE HITWAY WARRANTY FOR THE PRODUCT. NO OTHER REPRESENTATION OF ANY KIND BY ANYONE SHALL CREATE A WARRANTY FOR THE PRODUCT. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HITWAY'S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL HITWAY BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES. THIS LIMITATION DOES NOT EXCLUDE LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY HITWAY'S NEGLIGENCE.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HITWAY HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, FOR THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.

Some states, provinces, or countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. If any provision of this warranty is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
